Murcia-San Javier airport is located on the north shore of the Mar Menor, in the village of Santiago de la Ribera, part of the municipality of San Javier. It is an air station open to civil traffic. It is just 15 minutes drive to Hacienda Riquelme. Being such a small airport, it can often take only half an hour from landing to walking into your apartment at Hacienda Riquelme.

Murcia Airport is becoming busier with the arrival of several low cost airlines such as Bmi baby, Flybe, Jet2, Easyjet Mytravellite and BA. Airlines, such as Monarch, are also starting service.

In June 2004, the terminal expansion, with an addition 1,100 square metres in the arrivals area, was inaugurated. Two new baggage reclaim carousels were installed, as well as office spaces for four car hire companies and five shops. Due to the heavy traffic increases in the past years and given the urgency with which the passenger service improvements were required, the expansion at Murcia Airport was added with prefabricated modules.

1. Exit the airport onto the AP7 motorway (autovia) towards CARTAGENA
2. After approx. 18kms join the A7 signed for TORREVIEJA
3. You will pass through two road tolls currently costing between 1.65 to 2.95 euros each
4. Exit the A7 at junction 780A and follow the signs for MU-301 for SUCINA
5. Once into SUCINA follow the sign for MURCIA staying on the MU-301
6. About half a kilometre outside SUCINA you will see HACIENDA RIQUELME on your left and there is a junction to your left taking you onto the F19 signed for LA TERCIA – take this left turn
7. Follow the F19 for about 3km and you will arrive at HACIENDA RIQUELME security gates on your left.

1. Pass through the security gates and turn immediate right.
2. At the roundabout turn left onto CALLE ADRICATICO and take a right at the next roundabout on ATLANTICO.
3. Follow the road around until you find BLOCK 78 on your left – the numbers are in descending order.
